If Gainesville could add shelters at only some bus stops, which ones reach the most weekday bus visits? Pick how many stops, and see who and what that covers. This is a what-if, not a plan or a cost estimate.

Which list of stops?

-weekday bus visits at these stops
-of all RTS weekday bus visits
-of these stops have no known shelter today
-of all visits at stops without a known shelter

How to read this. A bus visit is one scheduled bus at a stop on a typical weekday (Wednesday, Feb 11, 2026 in the RTS Spring 2026 schedule). It is a stand-in for how many people wait there, not a rider count.

Limits. Shelter status comes from OpenStreetMap, which is partial, so "unknown" means not mapped, not "none". Heat is summer morning satellite data and understates the afternoon peak. Some campus stops are close together, so the list can include several stops at one place. Nothing here estimates cost or says what the city will do.
